"Guidelines for
E-mail submission of JARL contest
Special Measure in Force during a Transition
Period
In the case of Japanese domestic contests, many participants have already submitted on our new requirement, so that the automated reception could be started successfully and smoothly. In the case of All Asian DX Contest, however, we found that many participants often have much trouble, as there have been few contest logging software yet which meet our new rule. To find a way out of this situation, we decided to accept all E-mailed submission with any kinds of format at least this year. Don't forget there must be all of the required items in the rule. The reason why we prescribed an E-mailed submission format is to make our reception and checking the submission efficiently and fairly. The special measure causes us the unexpected extrawork. So we request you again to submit your logs/summary on our recommendation described below. Please remember that we intend to accept our formatted submission only in the near future. Anyway, if you send a submission on our format, that will be analyzed automatically and immediately, so that you can receive a reply mail of an acknowledgement or an error. You should not send any formatted submission as attached files but a text body of your mail, because some of attached files cannot be treated even manually. (July,7,2000 JARL Contest Committee) |
Let us first extend our appreciation for taking an
interest in the All Asian DX Contest. For your information, this year, we are
planing to start receiving submissions by e-mail.
Please refer to this
guideline carefully and submit an application form. But please note that
application forms that are not in accordance with the guideline will be
rejected. Your application will be examined automatically and you will receive a
return mail from JARL with a confirmation.
We are still investigating the
E-mail submission format for more efficient and fare inspection. Following is
based on the format which is used in the Japanese domestic contests. We strongly
recommend this format for our additional investigation for future
modification.
All data fields must be written between <tag> and
</tag>.
"tag" repesent the meaning of the field.
<tag>specification
This
year, any text type form of logsheet is acceptable. The form may include header,
footer and QSO lines. QSO line can be consisted from the terms of "Station
worked", "Date", "Time", "Frequency" or "Band", "Exchange sent", "Exchange
received", "New multiplier" and "QSO Points".
If you don't mention the term
"Exchange sent" in the QSO lines, you must denote about the number sent, for
example "All number sent were 599+# (your age)" on the Comment field in the
summary.
If you are a CT user, *.all logs are preferable for us. Please
send them NOT AS AN ATTACHED file but copy & paste between
<LOGSHEET
TYPE=CT>
and
</LOGSHEET>
If the QSO points described on
*.all file don't match the new rule, you should re-calculate your appropriate
score and write it on your summary sheet. Don't forget writing your exchange
sent on your summary sheet, because *.all file doesn't have
it.
ex.
<COMMENTS>All number sent were
59950</COMMENTS>
For NA, TR-log or any other kinds of logging
software users, please pay attention just like CT users.
We can only accept
a body of e-mail. No attached files can be accepted.
*Please refer to this
example.
